Over the summer, Altieri’s Women in Engineering group spent a morning volunteering at Open Doors in Norwalk, CT. They took a tour of their center, learned about all their incredible work, helped fill garden boxes, and cleaned up the streets in the community.
Open Doors is a welcoming community helping people dealing with poverty and homelessness in the greater Norwalk, CT area. They provide supportive services such as: emergency shelter, the community closet, free meals, a food pantry, after-school enrichment for children, and much more.
