At the P-TECH Norwalk Fourth Annual Senior Awards Night, we were delighted to award The John L. Altieri Memorial Scholarship to Jesus Torres Juarez. Jesus’ application showed the strong work and service ethic of a student who has successfully managed a challenging course load, exhibited leadership in extracurricular activities, and dedicated considerable time to community and family through multiple volunteer activities. He is not only driven by self-improvement, but also by opportunities to positively impact others.
We are excited to watch Jesus’ progress at the University of Connecticut where he will enter as a freshman in the fall, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
The John L. Altieri Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of exceptionalism and community involvement left to us by our founder. The award is given annually to a student from one of the Norwalk, CT high schools who is going on to study mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering at an accredited university, and whose high school career has shown that the individual incorporates elements of our firm’s core values in his/her endeavors.
